Plitvice Lakes National Park- Croatia, Europe



The Plitvice National Park is the oldest park in Sourtheast Europe, and the largest in Croatia. The park (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) has 16 pristine lakes which are interconnected by stunning waterfalls (the largest standing 70 meters tall). The lakes are famous for their stunning colors, often changing from shades of teal, turquoise & deep blues to greys. The beautful lakes are set in dense woodland, home to deers, bears & rare species of birds.
Plitvice lakes National Park is heaven for nature lovers and hikers, but for people who don't want to explore the park on foot there's a boat & a electric train, which takes a set route around the park.
And its among the 20 most beautiful lakes in the world to 17th place, The park covers, an area of 33,000 hectares. And also its considered to be one of the most beautiful natural sights in Europe. Due to its natural beauty & significance, this system of 16 interlinked lakes and a largest forest complex around it were set aside as a national park in 1949.
